Murdo wants to see local constituents visit an exhibition dedicated to Anne Frank. The exhibition will take place in the Scottish Parliament's Members' Lobby and Garden Lobby during the week beginning 25th January and staff will be on hand at the exhibition between 26th and 28th January to answer questions and guided tours will be available.
The exhibition has been organised by Anne Frank Scotland and the Anne Frank Trust UK. The charities draw on the power of Anne Frank's life and diary to challenge prejudice and reduce hatred, encouraging people to embrace positive attitudes, responsibility and respect for others. More information about the work can be found at www.annefrank.org.uk or you can contact me directly on the above details.
Commenting, Murdo said:
"For many people, Anne Frank is a symbol of all those who died in the Holocaust. This exhibition in the Scottish Parliament coincides with Holocaust Memorial Day on 27th January the theme of which is a Legacy of Hope. I hope that local constituents will consider coming to the Parliament to see the exhibition and learn more about the holocaust and Anne Frank.
"Anne Frank's diary inspires many people today although written over 60 years ago during such a devastating period in history."
