MSP Murdo Fraser lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament which reads:
“That the Parliament praises the work of the Special Treats charity based in Rattray, Perthshire; recognises that Special Treats organises a number of visits and events for the people of Rattray and District, which allows people in Rattray and the surrounding area to have greater community interaction and involvement; believes that the charity has created a stronger community spirit, and thanks all the volunteers for their dedication, commitment and time.”
During the St Andrews weekend celebrations, Rattray Hall & Special Treats volunteers organised the Lunchtime Concert in Rattray Hall and supplied lunch for more than eighty people who attended.
Commenting, Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“Special Treats do a great deal of work for a number of people in Rattray and organise great events and trips. It is only right that the work of the volunteers is recognised and that is why I have lodged a parliamentary motion in the Scottish Parliament so that MSPs from across Scotland can learn of the important work Special Treats do in Rattray.
“We are lucky in Rattray to have dedicated individuals who want to make a difference. The recent Lunchtime Concert in Rattray Hall was organised by Rattray Hall and Special Treats and I thank them for putting on the event for the local people.”
